The North Tahoe Community Alliance compiles a weekly Lodging Barometer directly from properties in the North Lake Tahoe community. These numbers are made available as a single data set to the business community via the weekly Lodging Barometer email.

Additionally, data from Destimetrics and AirDNA are received monthly and made available to the business community below and via the Lodging Barometer email at the end of the month.

The data provides forward-looking indicators for tracking major economic, business and consumer trends and is used to anticipate impacts to occupancy and average daily rates.
AirDNA Feb 2024 Data:
- Available listings are slightly up March – May, down double digits June – August.
- Booked listings are down through August, and down double digits for April and July.
- Occupancy Rate is down double digits through August, with the exception of July which is down 7%.
- ADR is up Jan through March – June, and down slightly in July + August.
- RevPAR is down through August.
- Revenue is down through July, up slightly in August.
Destimetrics Feb 2024 Data:
- Occupancy rates during last month (Feb 2024) were down 6.7% compared to the same period last year.
- Average daily rate (ADR) last month (Feb 2024) was up by 5.7%.
- Occupancy rates for the previous six months (Sept-Feb) are down by 11.2% compared to the same period last year.
- Average daily rate (ADR) for the previous six months (Sep-Feb) was up by 5.5%.
Looking ahead:
- Occupancy rates for next month (Mar) 2024 are down by 13.5% compared to the same period last year
- Average daily rate (ADR) for next month (Mar) is up by 3.7%
- Occupancy rates for the upcoming six months (Mar-Aug) are down by 10.4% compared to the same period last year
- Average daily rate (ADR) for the upcoming six months (Mar-Aug) is up by 7.3%
