  • This project includes two new community gathering spaces: one near the tennis courts and the dog park, and another near the pickleball courts. Each space is a place to gather, relax and reflect, and a place to learn and appreciate our natural environment, our history, and our cultural heritage.
  • This project will provide residents and visitors in North Lake Tahoe with a unique outdoor space to gather for special occasions, community events, sports tournaments, art events and receptions, recreational programs and more. There will also be a designated area with educational and interpretive signage to help educate visitors and residents on the region’s environmental sustainability activities and opportunities.
  • Prepares a dedicated space in the North Tahoe Regional Park for the NTPUD’s first community art installation.

Recent Updates:

  • Completed work includes the paver section and space near the tennis courts and dog park and the pickleball courts.
  • In 2026, once funding is secured, the NTPUD will work to procure and install the first-ever art installation in the North Tahoe Regional Park.

Grand Opening:
The North Tahoe Public Utility District will celebrate the grand opening of the Community Gathering Space at the North Tahoe Regional Park on Friday, November 14, at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. NTPUD will lead a walk of the projects, showcasing improvements and new connections throughout the park.

The TOT-TBID Dollars At Work program is powered by the North Tahoe business community. Thank you to the business owners who created the Tourism Business Improvement District. In partnership with Placer County.
