Harry is the Vice President and General Manager of Homewood Mountain Resort. He is honored to be part of a truly special and unique place and is excited to lead Homewood into its next chapter. With over 20 years spent in luxury hospitality, he has a passion for serving others and truly enjoys cultivating relationships with his guests, employees and colleagues. In addition to supporting the NTCA, Harry serves on the board of directors with Ski California. Drawn to the mountains early in his career, Harry served his community in Southern California as a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service, where he developed a great appreciation for the land and helping others. Harry shares his love of the outdoors with his wife, Callie, and their children, Oliva and Carter.

Colin Perry is the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. He joined the luxury mountain resort in 2020 with more than 20 years of hospitality management experience. A tenured industry professional, Colin oversees all aspects of operations at the resort including financial performance, employee and guest engagement, community relationships, partnerships, and talent development.

Sue Rae Irelan is the current NTCA Board Chair and the Placer County Board of Supervisors’ appointed board member. A longtime resident, Sue Rae has lived and worked in Tahoe since 1986. She was the past Executive Director of the Lake Tahoe Music Festival, served as a Program Analyst for the California Tahoe Conservancy, and operated a sole proprietor environmental planning consulting business. In addition to her role on the NTCA Board of Directors, Sue Rae is also a member of the Tahoe XC Board of Directors.

Jill opened Tahoe Moon Properties in 1999. Through keeping up with the Real Estate market and continuing education in the areas of marketing and rentals, she and her team have created a company that assists renters in finding the perfect property to ensure the foundation for a fantastic vacation. Likewise, for their property owners, Tahoe Moon Properties cares for all aspects of maintaining and renting their second home. They specialize in all areas of property management encompassing short-term vacation rentals, ski leases, as well as managing properties for homeowners who do not rent their properties. Tahoe Moon Properties’ service also includes working closely with carefully selected Realtors who can assist in the home purchasing or selling process.

DJ is married to Lichelle and the father of two boys. He loves Tahoe and is committed to its community. DJ is a trail runner, skier and swimmer, and is Director of Business Development at Granlibakken Management Company. He also holds a volunteer board seat with Ski California, and committee positions on the NLT|TBID Zone 1 Committee and the Marketing Cooperative Committee.

Jim Phelan is the general manager of the Tahoe City Marina, a position he has held since 1997.

Ray Villaman is the president and CEO of Tahoe Restaurant Group and on the Board of Directors or Advisor with The California Restaurant Association; VoicePlug, Inc.; Aaware, Inc.; Rockless Table, LLC; SpotOn, Inc.; and the NTCA. A veteran restaurant executive, Ray’s 25+ years in operations include more than 200 store openings and direct responsibility for strategic growth. Ray has held corporate and management positions with several national chains: Bennigan’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Boston Market, Blimpie International and World Wrapps. As an active angel investor, Ray has also been co-founder or invested in: The Customer’s View, Inc., FreshTxt, Inc., Menus.com, and Mobi Munch.

Kevin Drake is co-founder and CEO of Alibi Ale Works, which operates a brewery and two brewpubs that are community hubs in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Prior to founding Alibi in 2014, Kevin spent 15 years working in watershed science and restoration consulting in the Tahoe area. He also serves as Placer County’s representative on the TRPA Advisory Planning Commission and is an active member of North Tahoe Business Association’s Economic Vitality Committee. Kevin is a 20-year resident of Kings Beach and is passionate about creating true vitality and resilience in our community. 

Dan Tester is the Vice President of Rental Services for Granite Peak Management and the NTCA’s Board Treasurer. In his professional capacity, Dan is responsible for operations and sales & marketing of Granite Peak Management’s rental brands; Palisades Tahoe Lodge, Donner Lake Village and Tahoe Vacation Rentals. Bringing 30+ years of hospitality experience to Granite Peak Management, Dan was hired as the Sales Manager at Palisades Tahoe Lodge in 1994, becoming General Manager in 1998. He then became a principal at Granite Peak Management in 2011. Dan and his wife, Julie, were drawn to Tahoe in 1990 by their passion for outdoor adventures like skiing and mountain biking. They have two sons who compete in free skiing and mountain bike racing.

Doug Burnett is the Director of Base Area operations at Northstar California and oversees all aspects of the base operation including transportation, parking, maintenance, security, activities, village operations and various other behind-the-scenes aspects at the resort. Originally from Canada, Doug relocated to the Tahoe area in December 2019 after living in Whistler, BC where he worked at Whistler Blackcomb for 16 years in various Food and beverage leadership roles. Doug has always had a passion for hospitality and being active in the great outdoors so the ski industry was a great fit after graduating from Camosun College where he studied Hotel & Restaurant Management and then attended Royal Roads University. Doug also sits on the Sierra Community House board of directors and lives in Truckee with his husband and two dogs.

Samir is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kila Properties, formed in 2007.  He is responsible for all aspects of this real estate development firm which specializes in the acquisition, development, management and disposition of hotels and workforce housing in Northern California resort destinations.  Previously, Samir worked in Silicon Valley in Senior Executive roles focusing on business development and marketing.  He helped guide and grow four technology companies over the course of nine years, all of which were acquired by larger companies.  Prior to that, Samir was an attorney in private practice.  He received a JD, with Honors, from George Washington University, and a BA in Psychology, with Honors, from Wake Forest University.

After stints in Aspen and San Francisco, Dave moved to North Tahoe in 1977 from Michigan. He started Tahoe Dave’s Skis & Boards in the fall of 1977 at the Henrikson building in Tahoe City with a small room, 15 pairs of skis, a workbench, and an immense desire to “have a good time and stay out of jail.” (Which still applies today.) Since Dave couldn’t afford to pay rent for his new business and a place to live, he did the only thing he could… he made a makeshift bedroom above the bathroom in the ski shop. The rest is history. What started out as a small one-man shop in Tahoe City has turned into five stores in four convenient locations, giving Dave the ability to offer his “rent at any location, return or exchange at any location” program. Dave has remained involved in non-profits and political-type committees. Keeping the sense of community alive has been a passion, along with good live music. Dave says that being involved is the best way to keep Tahoe, Tahoe.

Devin Middlebrook was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. He is the government affairs manager for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. Devin represents TRPA on the Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Council and plays a key role in coordinating the regional sustainable recreation initiatives. Devin earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and sustainability from California State University, Chico and went on to receive his MBA from California State University, Sacramento. Devin is the former Mayor and City Council member of the City of South Lake Tahoe. As Mayor, Devin advocated for the environment, economic diversity, climate, housing, recreation, equality, and transportation. Growing up in Tahoe gave Devin an appreciation for the environment and getting outdoors, and the passion to ensure future generations have the same experience.
