Originally from Montana, Mike Martin’s first job of his professional career was at Palisades Tahoe as a lift operator. He then headed off to college to obtain his Engineering and MBA degrees. After working (and skiing/riding) all over the world for decades with several global Fortune 500 companies, such as Northrop Grumman, Best Buy, The North Face, he returned to Tahoe and specifically Palisades Tahoe, following the big winter of ’16-17 to help put the place back together, currently leading Base Operations. When you can’t find him working or chasing fresh tracks in the Sierras, he’s out exploring the beauty of the wilderness, usually with a fly rod in hand and his golden retriever Hank just behind. He’s fortunate to call Tahoe City home and is honored to serve the community with the NTCA.
