What changed on July 1, 2026?

Two things changed at once.

A renewed Management District Plan took effect. The renewed plan runs ten years, from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2036, replacing a five year plan. The initial annual assessment budget is approximately $6.5 million, and roughly $65 million across the full term. Placer County collects the assessment, and NTCA, as the Owners’ Association, manages the funds, runs the programs, and reports to the Placer County Board of Supervisors each year.

The TBID Advisory Committee and the Zone 1 Committee merged into a single committee. The merge was anticipated in the Management District Plan itself, to reduce the administrative time and cost of convening two committees toward the same purpose. Zone 1 Specific Services remains its own budget category at 15 percent of the annual budget, funded by the additional 1 percent assessment on Zone 1 lodging, and the committee keeps designated seats for Zone 1 lodging businesses alongside designated seats for the Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows region and the Northstar region.
