- Financial incentive program designed to create new, deed-restricted housing units for local workers in eastern Placer County.
- Housing may be created through new construction or the conversion of non-residential spaces into residential units.
- The pilot program received four eligible applications and awarded two funding reservations, resulting in the creation of four new housing units.
- Incentives are based on project type:
- $200,000 per unit for multifamily housing, condominiums, townhomes, residential conversions, or other qualifying project types
- $125,000 per unit for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
- $50,000 per unit for Single-Room Occupancy (dorm-style) units
- Programs aims to create 15-18 new housing units with 2025-26 Annual Grant Cycle funding.
Recent Updates:
On February 3, 2026, the Placer County Board of Supervisors approved $3,000,000 in new funding for the Launchpad program, as recommended through the NTCA’s TOT-TBID Dollars at Work program. Combined with $275,000 in funding that remained unallocated from the April 2025 NOFA LP-001, a total of $3,275,000 is now available to support qualifying workforce housing projects in eastern Placer County.
Eligible Participants include developers, non-profits and other individuals or entities. Participants and/or their staff or contractors must have sufficient experience and/or demonstrate sufficient capacity and training in housing development.
The application window runs February 25 – March 18, 2026.
