RECENT UPDATES:

Tahoe City’s historic Watson Cabin has been fully restored thanks to funding from the TOT-TBID Dollars at Work program. Built in 1908 by Tahoe City’s first constable, Robert M. Watson, the cabin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the oldest log structure in North Lake Tahoe.

The recent restoration included replacing rotten logs, restoring original windows, repairing the chimney, and masonry restoration, chinking, replacing the back porch, plumbing repairs, electrical upgrades, new flooring in sections of the building, and a full exterior refinish. The renewed Watson Cabin now stands as a proud reminder of Tahoe City’s heritage and what our community can accomplish together. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Spring 2026.

The TOT-TBID Dollars At Work program is powered by the North Tahoe business community. Thank you to the business owners who created the Tourism Business Improvement District. In partnership with Placer County.
