- This project will increase inclusion and accessibility on the Sawtooth Loop Trail, a beginner- to moderate-level public trail system within the TOT-TBID boundary in eastern Placer County, Truckee, California.
- This project will support all-season public adaptive meetups, known as “High Fives Hangouts”, at the Sawtooth Loop Trail, expanding access to outdoor recreation and community-building opportunities for individuals with life-changing injuries and mobility limitations.
- In alignment with the 2022 Placer County Parks and Trails Master Plan’s principle to “Connect People to Nature and Open Space,” their goal is to continue expanding this extensive trail network, carefully designed to accommodate bikes of all types. With a consistent 58-inch width to accommodate adaptive mountain bikes, these trails will welcome riders of all skill levels, ensuring that everyone who resides in or visits eastern Placer County can participate in and enjoy mountain biking in North Lake Tahoe.
