RECENT UPDATES:

October-December 2024:

  • 16 properties were unlocked.
  • 29 local workers and six children were housed.
  • Of the four properties that ended the program this quarter, one is continuing to rent long-term.

Previous Updates

July-September 2024:

  • Nine new properties added to the Lease to Locals program.
  • 13 local workers housed and six children.
  • Seven of the nine properties that completed the program last quarter continue to rent long-term.
  • In total, 223 people have been housed through the Lease to Locals program since its inception, 97 properties have been awarded grants, and the average property rent is $2,546.

April-June 2024:

  • 11 new homes unlocked.
  • 23 local workers housed and five children.
  • 15 of the 19 homes that completed their lease periods are either renewing with current tenants or long-term renting with new tenants.

January-March 2024:

  • 22 total leads touched by Placemate.
  • Eight applications were reviewed and approved.
  • Five leases came to their conclusion.
  • 17 mid-point lease check-ins completed by Placemate.
  • Five end-of-lease check-ins completed by Placemate.
  • Three monthly operations meetings were held between Placer County and Placemate.
