October-December 2024:
- 16 properties were unlocked.
- 29 local workers and six children were housed.
- Of the four properties that ended the program this quarter, one is continuing to rent long-term.
Previous Updates
July-September 2024:
- Nine new properties added to the Lease to Locals program.
- 13 local workers housed and six children.
- Seven of the nine properties that completed the program last quarter continue to rent long-term.
- In total, 223 people have been housed through the Lease to Locals program since its inception, 97 properties have been awarded grants, and the average property rent is $2,546.
April-June 2024:
- 11 new homes unlocked.
- 23 local workers housed and five children.
- 15 of the 19 homes that completed their lease periods are either renewing with current tenants or long-term renting with new tenants.
January-March 2024:
- 22 total leads touched by Placemate.
- Eight applications were reviewed and approved.
- Five leases came to their conclusion.
- 17 mid-point lease check-ins completed by Placemate.
- Five end-of-lease check-ins completed by Placemate.
- Three monthly operations meetings were held between Placer County and Placemate.
