The Draft State Route 89 and State Route 267 Adaptive Corridor Management / Transit Priority Lanes Strategic Implementation and Phasing Plan was revised by the County’s consultant, Wood Rodgers, and submitted for County staff and stakeholder agencies’ review in late September 2024. A presentation of the final plan to the Placer County Board of Supervisors is likely to be scheduled during the Board’s Tahoe meeting in March 2025.

  • Enhance transit operations on resort triangle corridors
  • Transit-only lane from Northstar Drive to Placer County line on SR 267
  • Transit-only lane from Tahoe City to Placer County line on SR 89
  • Enhance operations on steep grades of SR 267
  • Provision of a climbing lane specifically for trucks and transit vehicles
