Winter 2026
The TART Park & Ride program concluded the season with 13,828 total riders, with strong participation following its December kickoff. The program served a balanced mix of users, including 46% visitors and 36% local residents, and earned a strong Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 49, reflecting high rider satisfaction.
At Palisades and Northstar, the program supported reliable winter access throughout a condensed season aligned with snow conditions and visitation patterns, while Northstar and Sugar Bowl both saw year-over-year growth driven by increased awareness and expanded service options. Top reasons for using the service included not having a parking reservation (30%), not having a car (28%), and avoiding the hassle of driving and parking (28%), highlighting its role as a convenient and accessible transportation option that continues to improve regional access and reduce traffic and vehicle trips throughout the corridor.
Winter 2025
Free winter shuttle service to Northstar, Palisades Tahoe, and Sugar Bowl served 15,870 riders in 2024–25, a 60% increase from the previous season. 81% of riders gave a 5 out of 5 satisfaction rating.
Winter 2024
The TART Park & Ride program saw great success in its first winter by providing trips to 2,974 people from the Tahoe City Transit Center/64-Acres and 3,192 people from the resort back to the Tahoe City Transit Center/64-Acres, which exceeded the goal of 4,000 riders.
