Morning commute time service was increased between Nov. 11, 2024 and April 6, 2025 to support non-peak commute needs not accommodated with fixed route bus service.

  • Go beyond base level service hours provided by Placer County

Recent Updates:

From January 1 – March 31, 2025 TART Connect within Washoe and Placer Counties carried 99,904 passengers with 74,713 of those passengers riding within Placer County zones. This is an increase of 6% or 4,388 riders within Placer County zones as compared to the Q3 in 2023-2024. Of the roughly 100,00 riders, approximately 70% were shared rides, an increase of 5% over Q3 in 2023-2024.

From October 1 to December 31, TART Connect within Washoe and Placer Counties carried 53,537 passengers, 39,732 of whom rode within Placer County zones. This is an increase of 3% or 1,149 riders within Placer County zones compared to Q2 2023-2024. Of the roughly 40,000 riders, approximately 61% were shared rides, an increase of 6% over Q2 2023-2024. 

From July 1 to September 30, TART Connect within Washoe and Placer Counties carried 57,239 passengers, with 54,879 of those passengers riding within Placer County zones. This is a decrease of 14% or 9,176 riders within Placer County zones compared to Q1 in 2023-2024. Of the roughly 55,000 riders, approximately 73% were shared rides, an increase of 8% over Q1 in 2023-2024.
